Hamills Restaurant opened in 2004 and has been serving great food and drinks to our local clientele and visitors to the Wakatipu since then. Sited in the heart of the Remarkables Park Shopping Centre Hamills is blessed with unlimited car parks, outstanding views of The Remarkables mountain range and Coronet Peak Ski Field and is bathed in all day sun.

Hamills is a family friendly restaurant with a great kids menu and a small play area for the little ones to amuse themselves. But we are more than this. Our great kitchen team produces food which consistently exceeds our customers expectations. We are primarily a busy daytime restaurant but our Pizzas, Steak, Venison and other dishes keep our restaurant busy through until 9pm at night.

Our breakfast/lunch menu begins at 8-30 and continues all the way till 3pm. Our Pizzas and snack menus last all day and into the night and the full dinner menu start from 5-30pm till 8-30pm. Come and enjoy our food, wines and service whilst admiring the close up views of The Remarkables towering overhead or sitting on our deck soaking up the rays after the rigours of shopping or the many recreational activities Queenstown offers.

Travellers love booking into the airport early and strolling 10 minutes to Hamills for a hearty breakfast or lunch before boarding their plane. It sure beats hanging around the airport

“Enjoyable” Tired of fighting our way around the crowds and traffic in central Queenstown so it was really nice to be able to park outside the restaurant and get a table immediately. The staff were extremely pleasant, the food was great and the level of noise allowed good conversation. Actually the whole Remarkables Park Shopping Centre is worth a visit to sample the various eateries.

“A hidden jem” Great local food right next to the airport in a shopping plaza. This was highly recommended by locals and we were not disappointed

“Great Place for the family” Casual and relaxing, really good if you have kids as they have a kids menu and toys for them. Don't need to dress up so pretty good for people coming off the trails. the food is good or just have pizza. Its open for breakfast lunch and dinner, but if you are in Queenstown without a car its a bit far out to walk too
“Pizza and play” Came here for an early evening dinner with our family group including two boisterous boys. The children's meals were well presented and the pizzas and salads enjoyed by the adults. The play area was a godsend as we could talk while the boys played

“Friendly with great staff” We only pooped in for a quick lunch on a Sunday when the shopping Mall is busy hoping to not have to wait too long. We were greeted and shown to a table immediately and given a bottle of cold water along with our coffee order being taken immediately. The staff were all very friendly and the coffees arrived very quickly. Not only did the restaurant have its set lunch menu there was some nice specials. I went for the prawn curry. For the price I was expecting a couple of prawns in a curry soup and an egg ring of rice. There would have been more than half a dozen prawns along with a well made curry. The rice filled the rest of a full size plate. My wife enjoyed her meal also. I would say Hamills would be my choice when at the mall.

“Customer service with a smile!” A great customer service experience, upon arrival was greeted with a smile and instantly put to a table with menus, upon placing our order was asked how our day was and given table water. Looking at the menu there wasn't a a great deal of difference to other menus there are around queenstown which was a bit of a let down they have all your standard stuff with the exception of some brilliant pizza options but you have to be in the mood for. However the Coffee was splendid was great! Other then the small option of menu the food had alot of flavor and very reasonable price. Would still go back!

“Great Service” Ordered takeaway pizza. really tasty, but was fast and staff were great. nice beer in the sun outside while waiting which wasnt too long either

“Lovely view over the Remarkables” Stopped in here for brunch. The service was really great and food tasty. Reasonably priced, however portions on the small side. Great coffee and loved the view on the balcony of the Remarkables.

“A good find” New Years day and oddly very few people around this part of town. Staff were friendly, attentive and courteous particularly the young gent with the styled moustache. Presentation of food was excellent.

“Tasty food and kids play area” We came here one day for a late lunch. Food was tasty (I had tacos), drinks were refreshing, and the handy kids area had the kids occupied. Great value for money.

“Good pizzas” Ordered a Bali Chicken and Kapiti deluxe pizzas to take away. Both were very good, thin crusts with plenty of topping. Also provided with a complementary drink from the waitress we saw earlier in the day when picking up a menu while our order was prepared.
